Shoplifting Charges Dismissed for Young Professional

We recently assisted a young woman after she was stopped at a large retail store for allegedly taking various items without paying. The items which include miscellaneous makeup and beauty products were valued at about $150, but a shoplifting conviction put her new career and reputation at serious risk.

Since loss prevention recovered the items and based on our client’s lack of any prior record, we negotiated to have the charges dismissed. This spared the young woman from dealing with a theft conviction on her record and quickly let her move on.
