Misdemeanor Firearm Charge Dismissed

Our client was charged with misdemeanor Possession of a Firearm while on City Property when they failed to properly check their carry-on bag before going through a TSA checkpoint at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. The client was facing up to 60 days in jail. In addition to the criminal penalty, any conviction would have prevented the client from serving as a guardian of a family member. We were able to get all charges dismissed on behalf of the client without them having to appear in court and obtained a significant reduction in the client’s TSA fine.
