Open Container Ticket Dismissed

On behalf of Randall & Stump, PLLC in on Thursday, August 13, 2020

Law enforcement ticked our client, who was in town attending a concert, for having an open container containing alcohol in the parking lot of a gas station. The gas station was closed and was being used for overflow parking for the concert.

Our client and friends were tailgating when the police arrived and gave out the open container tickets to the group. Because the gas station lot was properly authorized as an overflow lot for the concert venue, the ticket was dismissed.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
