Marijuana Trafficking Reduced After Airport Arrest
Our client found himself in serious legal trouble when his flight landed at Charlotte/Douglas Airport from California and approximately 70 pounds of marijuana was found in his luggage. Despite being legal in California, NC considers this felony drug trafficking, possession with intent to sell and deliver, and drug conspiracy. Now, exposed to penalties ranging from between 106 and 237 months in prison, we worked to secure the best possible outcome. We aggressively negotiated and secured a favorable plea agreement that let our client admit to one count of possession with intent for 24 months of probation and no time in custody.
