Man Spared from 30 Years for Violating Post-Release Supervision

On behalf of Randall & Stump, PLLC in on Thursday, March 28, 2019

Probation violations are treated seriously in North Carolina, typically with prosecutors showing little sympathy for another charge. We recently had a prior client who was on post-release supervision when officers conducted a search of his residence that yielded two firearms and 2,000 pills. This put the man in very serious legal jeopardy, but due to our immediate intervention and skill, we negotiated with the government to not file new charges. After extensive discussions, we resolved the post-release supervision violation and our Charlotte criminal defense lawyers saved our client 30 years of jail time.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
