Dismissal for Woman Charged With Assault

We recently helped a woman after she was accused of punching her male roommate during a heated exchange. As a result, she was charged with simple assault and potentially looking at spending up to 60 days in jail. We thoroughly investigated both parties’ backgrounds and it became apparent that the alleged victim had inflicted a systematic pattern of physical and verbal abuse on our client the whole time they were living together.

This was obviously not how he presented their relationship to the police and it became clear that on the night in question, she had enough and defended herself. Based on our careful and in-depth review of what really happened, we resolved the matter and had the charges dismissed before her first court date
