Client Avoids Mandatory Minimum for Heroin & Cocaine Charges

On behalf of Randall & Stump, PLLC in on Wednesday, February 17, 2021

Our client was charged in Federal Court with heroin and cocaine conspiracy. The client was caught with two kilograms of heroin and seven kilograms of Powder Cocaine. The client was facing a mandatory minimum sentence of not less than 10 years up to life. This was also his second federal conviction, which made things worse.

Prior to sentencing, our client’s Presentence report recommended between 135 to 168 months in prison. After extensive research and drafting our objections, we convinced the Court that the Safety Valve applied to his case, and he was ultimately only sentenced to 87 months.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
