Client Spared from Life Sentence with Plea

Our client was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. The victim had been shot nine times with most of the wounds in the victim’s back. The client was facing a potential LIFE sentence without parole. Through our investigation and negotiations with the district attorney, we negotiated a plea to voluntary manslaughter and a sentence of 5 ½ to 7 1/2 years.
