DWI, Open Container, & Failure to Reduce Speed Dismissed

On behalf of Randall & Stump, PLLC in on Thursday, September 3, 2020

After our client, a doctor was found in the middle of the street after allegedly hitting two parked cars and flipping her vehicle, she was charged with driving while intoxicated, having an open container, and speeding. The car accident occurred in a neighborhood and had plenty of eyewitnesses. The scene was worked by the police, fire department, and emergency squad, which took her straight to the hospital due to her injuries.

We discovered that there were issues with the blood draw at the hospital. In addition, the charging documents and officers’ notes went missing. It took a couple of court appearances, but ultimately after we ran through all the problems with the case, the prosecutor agreed to drop the charges.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
